Moynihan Station

Empire State Development

Jack Morton/PDG

2017

Jack Morton worked with Empire State Development and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill to produce scenic artwork and LED train schedule billboards for the new concourse under the Farley Building at Moynihan Station. The scenic murals are tromp l'oeil 'shadow boxes' with paper texture, drop shadows and watercolor paint details depicting different neighborhoods in New York City. They offer a bright and colorful introduction to visitors and commuters arriving in the city.

Penn Station's new West End Concourse adds a new entrance to the much-maligned station, allowing commuters to get into the station through the Farley Post Office for the first time. It's the first section of the eventual 255,000-square foot Moynihan Train Hall to open, a train hall that will eventually come with 112,000 square feet of retail space and 588,000 square feet of office space.

“Our design for Moynihan Train Hall culminates a long-held vision to create a new transportation hub that serves not only as a suitable entry and departure point to our magnificent city, but also a destination unto itself,” stated Roger Duffy, design partner at SOM in a press release. “We are honored to have been involved with this project since its inception and look forward to continuing to make Moynihan Train Hall a new landmark for New York City.”

Season Launch - LA

Production Glue

2014

Leading up to the much-anticipated premiere of their hit series, 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY, FOX brought London to Nokia Plaza in Los Angeles. Fans were encouraged to get “Jack’d,” and given the chance to feel like the series’ protagonist, Jack Bauer, as they zip lined through downtown into a London scene from the show.

Production Glue worked with Civic Entertainment Group to create an experiential and adventurous London environment.

Raeford designed a custom photo drop of a London disaster scene for fans to have their portrait taken in front of. He also produced all the branded banners and signage for the plaza.
